Chapter 1219: Little Savage

If one reached Jiang Yi’s level of skill and power, they would find it easy to emulate anything. In just two days, Jiang Yi learned the native people’s language and habits. However, his strength and speed were way off. The only good thing was that he could pass off as a little savage.

In just a few days—through communication with the savages, Jiang Yi managed to gain a deeper understanding of the Undying Tribe and the Death God Continent. With more than ten of these savages covering up their identity, they are likely out of trouble for now. The only problem was that without Mei Ru by their side, they had no ability to control the savages. If they really went to find other humans here, Mei Ru would stand out because she did not know any mirage divine abilities.

“Lord, I can hide inside your soul spirit. Then, you will be able to control these savages using your own spirit.”

Jiang Yi found Mei Ru’s suggestion acceptable, but he did feel uncomfortable about the fact that there would be a foreigner in his soul spirit. For lack of a better option, he agreed.

Jiang Xiaonu wanted to tag along, but Jiang Yi kept his heart firm. He agreed to let Jiang Xiaonu and Xiao Fei tag along only if they remained in the Mystic Divine Palace. Yi Chan and Yin Ruobing decided to cultivate their skills inside the Mystic Divine Palace as well. Both of them knew that their situation was precarious. Thus, they wanted to make use of any time they could get to strengthen themselves. The essence force in the Mystic Divine Palace was thicker than usual. It was comparable to the Tang Clan’s thousand-times secret cultivation rooms. With three more Heaven Paintings to analyze as well, they simply could not let the opportunity pass them by.

Yin Ruobing had already realized one of these Heaven Paintings and indeed realized a supreme dao pattern through it. It was a pity that this dao pattern was not as powerful as the Divinity Slayer. It was only a defensive-type dao pattern. A good offense was the best defense—just depending on defensive powers alone could not help the group in the face of threat.

The Buddha Emperor and company, however, did not want to go back into the Mystic Divine Palace. On one hand, they felt that depending on Jiang Yi for everything would be embarrassing. On the other hand, they did not want to put all of their eggs into one basket. If Jiang Yi was caught, they had to think of a way to save him as well.

Thus, the entire group decided to remain on the cliff and wait for news from Jiang Yi. The Demigods from the Yin Clan found a cave on the cliff. It was quite well-hidden. As long as they did not wander about, they likely would not meet any more savages.

“Everyone, I’m leaving. Take care.”

Five days later, Jiang Yi became a little savage. He looked only slightly more than ten years old. After teleporting Yi Chan, Jiang Xiaonu, Yin Ruobing, and Xiao Fei back into the Mystic Divine Palace; he kept the Mystic Divine Palace in his Ancient Divine Essence Ring. Then, he hid the ring in his beast-skin garment. Finally, he allowed Mei Ru to enter his spiritual consciousness and mounted a white tiger. As he left, he waved to everyone.

“Take care!”

The Buddha Emperor and company waved back at him. As they watched Jiang Yi leave with the group of savages, their eyes filled with mixed emotions. Suddenly, they felt very old.

This time, they combined their strength to look for the various Clan Heads. They had not expected that they would become slaves. Jiang Yi, the spy of Sin Island whom they all chased after once, came to their rescue. Now, without Jiang Yi, they were sure they would have not been able to advance this far. Realizing all of these things made them feel slightly defeated. Of course, every generation had their own talents. The new would replace the old.

...

Jiang Yi followed the group of savages along. They especially took the corpses of the black panthers back with them to the tribe. Jiang Yi also handed over the corpse of the savage he killed back to the group, allowing them to bring the man home. This would ensure that people would not get suspicious.

They were getting closer and closer to the tribe. Jiang Yi’s heart was racing. The savages had said that it would not be a big deal if they brought Jiang Yi back to the tribe because they would say that they found him wandering around outside. However, Jiang Yi could not help but feel nervous. There were tens of thousands of Brave Warriors in this tribe and a hundred or so more Fierce Warriors. There was also a Chieftain, who was the strongest of them all.

If the Brave Warriors were already so powerful, how much more powerful would the Fierce Warriors be? How about the Chieftain? Jiang Yi could not even imagine. All he could do was follow the group into the tribe while remaining on his toes.

“Open the gate!”

The leader of the group of savages shouted once they arrived outside the wooden gate. Jiang Yi now completely understood their language. He understood every word that they said. The ten or so guards at the wooden door scanned the group and then waved their hands. The thick and heavy wooden door opened slowly.

“Go!”

The leader of the group waved his hand, leading the group of people into the tribe. Jiang Yi’s expression was a mix of fear and apprehension. Subtly, he sized-up the surrounding people. This place was very behind indeed. Everywhere he looked, the forts were made of earth. There was not a single proper building or castle. There were also many people on the streets looking at Jiang Yi curiously.

This group of savages seemed quite popular among the people in the tribe. Nobody stopped them to question them the entire way back. Jiang Yi followed the group all the way back into a neighborhood in the eastern corner.

Hoo-Hoo!

The tribe was probably split up into different sects. It was obvious that the people nearby were all from one sect. When they saw the group of savages returning, many people ran toward them to talk to them and helped carry the black panthers. Many more people asked about Jiang Yi.

The savages were all under Mei Ru’s control. Mei Ru had already instructed them on what to say, and they had already rehearsed this before. Thus, the savages answered the questions just as they rehearsed, explaining that they found a child outside along the way. This time, when they went hunting, they came across the big black panther king. One of their sect members had been killed. Thus, they ended the trip early and came home.

A few women began crying immediately. A few more middle-aged women walked over to Jiang Yi, stroking him pitifully. One of them pulled Jiang Yi into her arms to comfort him. Jiang Yi looked afraid, but he cussed in his heart. This woman only had a beast-skin wrapped loosely around her chest. Half of her breasts, which were as big as sandbags, hung out. Since this woman was old and rough, her skin looked a mix of black and yellow.

What was most important was that the women here did not like to bathe. Thus, all of them had a strange smell about them. Jiang Yi did not dare to resist the woman’s embrace. As the old woman pulled him in her arms, he found himself caught in the middle of her two huge sandbags. The smell almost killed him.

The group of women led Jiang Yi into one of the forts. They began to ask him many questions, like what tribe he was from, and what he was doing wandering around outside. Jiang Yi’s head began to hurt. He spouted nonsense in response and ended up keeping silent.

The inside of the fort was very simple. Nothing inside was made of metal. Only a few items were carved out of stone. Just as Jiang Yi’s headache was getting worse, the leader of the group of savages entered the fort and waved his hand, gesturing for the women to leave the fort. He respectfully said to Jiang Yi, “Lord, you can stay here from now on. I will personally bring you food.”

“Don’t stand on ceremony with me!”

Jiang Yi quickly whispered to him. “Treat me like a little child. And don’t let those women come in to disturb me. Go and find out the situation outside and see if we’ll have a chance to go to the Saint Emperor City.”

There was no point in remaining in the tribe. Jiang Yi looked around the tribe and understood some new things. This group of low-class savages had no right at all to find out about the Saint Emperor City. Everything they knew about the place was from rumors.

If he really wanted to know what happened to the Buddha Thearch and the others, he could only make a trip down himself.

At that moment, Jiang Yi was feeling quite relaxed. He had already managed to blend in the tribe without any problems. This meant that blending in the Saint Emperor City would not be that difficult as well. The key was to find the right time. If he went in alone, he would be in great danger for sure. People would begin to get suspicious. Thus, all he could do was wait.

The leader of the savages left the room. This man seemed to command authority in the tribe. After he left, no woman entered Jiang Yi’s fort again.

Jiang Yi sat in the fort for several hours, not knowing what to do. The skin hanging at the door was suddenly pulled open, and in walked a relatively young woman. This young woman brought with her a bowl of hot soup, which contained a few pieces of beast meat as well. As she looked at Jiang Yi, her eyes burned hot with passion. She stared at Jiang Yi between his legs, her eyes filling with excitement and thirst. This caused Jiang Yi to straighten up in shock.

This woman was not planning on r*ping him, was she? He was only a child.
