Chapter 40 Hell’s Domain
While Lei Zhen began to plan for his journey to reach Yors Castle safely, Tang Qiaolian had already teleported to a nearby city called SkyRide City.
"Qiaolian, over here!" Liu Lingxin called out and waved her hand once she noticed her.
"What\'s the situation?" Tang Qiaolian arrived next to her and directly went to the main point.
"Currently, there have been 32 guilds that attempted the new dungeon. However, none of them were successful and even suffered heavy casualties." Liu Lingxin relayed the information.
"32 guilds have tried and not a single one of them succeeded?" Tang Qiaolian raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Could all of them be challenging the hell mode and not the easy mode instead?" She then asked.
Dungeons in Magnolia have four difficulty modes, namely, the easy mode, the normal mode, the hard mode, and the hell mode.
The easy mode naturally has the monster\'s stat lowered a bit, but that doesn\'t mean it\'s easy to conquer. The difficulty is still there and their team cooperation needs to work together in harmony to even have a chance of beating it.
And naturally, only those guilds that aren\'t ambitious would challenge the easy and normal mode since the first clear achievement is only given to those who completed hell mode.
Hence, Tang Qiaolian was astonished to see not a single guild managed to complete the dungeon yet. Most of the time, the top guilds would send their second force to challenge the easy and normal mode to gather information.
pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ After all, the dungeon structure and process are similar in each difficulty mode.
"I\'m afraid that\'s not the case, Qiaolian. Of the 32 guilds that have challenged, 10 of them belong to the top 100 guilds and they have attempted the easy mode." Liu Lingxin said with a dreadful expression.
"Is the new dungeon that difficult?" Tang Qiaolian was alarmed.
Magnolia is a worldwide game, and guilds that are in the top 100 are not to be underestimated. Yet they still failed to complete the easy mode.
"How did that happen?" Tang Qiaolian asked. "For them to even fail to complete easy mode, then how difficult would it be in hell mode?"
"The other top guilds were astonished by their failure as well and decided to test it for themselves. The result was that they were annihilated and lost top-tier equipment in the process as well."
"Then do we have any information on what the dungeon is like?"
Liu Lingxin nodded her head.
"Those who have challenged the dungeon had made a nickname for it: Hell\'s Domain. They described it as being in a magma environment and that some of the monsters are archfiends, capable of hovering in the air and attacking. In addition, magic spells are useless against them." She said solemnly.
"Hell\'s Domain huh… if even tier 2 players are struggling to defeat the new dungeon, then does that mean tier 3 is going to come out soon?" Tang Qiaolian muttered.
It had been a long time since Magnolia had gotten a big update, and with the recent storm of the Main Story being activated, people have concluded that Magnolia had entered a new phase.
"Qiaolian?" Liu Lingxin called out. "What should we do now? Our guild doesn\'t have many strong people to combat the new dungeon."
"Huh? Right, our guild does not have enough manpower." Tang Qiaolian snapped out of her daze and pondered the matter.
Her guild was very recent, so it wasn\'t strong enough to be in the top 100. And the only notable members of the guild were just herself and Liu Lingxin.
"Oho, look who is here? The heiress of Tang\'s Group and guild leader of Miracle Wing is here. What a surprise! Are you here for the new dungeon\'s first clear achievement as well?"
Just when Tang Qiaolian and Liu Lingxin were about to leave to head toward their headquarters, they were stopped by a jeering female voice in the back. Turning around, Tang Qiaolian\'s face darkened when she realized who the female voice came from.
"Hmph, a dog of the Aries Guild actually has the leisure to be out in the open? I thought you\'ll be stuck in your meeting room, controlling your members as you please, Cecile Carter." Tang Qiaolian sneered.
"Haha, we can be considered acquaintances, so what\'s with the full name-calling? Just call me Cecile like everyone does." Cecile smiled, not paying attention to her sneering in mind.
Alas, her smile was hideous in the eyes of Tang Qiaolian.
"Save your smile for someone else. I for one am disgusted to even see your smile." She hissed coldly and turned around, preparing to leave.
Liu Lingxin also glared at Cecile before turning around and following Tang Qiaolian. Not to mention Tang Qiaolian, even she did not like Cecile at all because of her conduct and fake behavior.
On the surface, Cecile is like the goddess to the Magnolia players, gentle and beautiful.
However, those who knew her true personality would say otherwise. Compared to her gentleness in public, she was ruthless and ruled with an iron fist behind the scenes.
To make matters worse, she is working for Shan Lin\'s father, Shan Zhikong because of some behind the scene deal, making them direct enemies in both Magnolia and the real world.
There was one thing that Tang Qiaolian had kept a secret from Lei Zhen and it was that she was a rival of Shan Lin. The two of them were competitors and had always tried to bring the other person down.
Of course, all those were done in the background, so not many people knew about their fight.
"Vice Leader, the two of them are too rude to you. Should I go and teach them a lesson?" Carlos, who had remained silent in the back suddenly asked.
"Don\'t mind them." Cecile shook her head in response. "They might consider me as an enemy because I\'m working for Shan Zhikong and acting as the vice leader, but I don\'t consider them my enemies."
Because of a promise, Cecile put up an act against them in public, but deep down, she really didn\'t care much. If it weren\'t anything serious, she would not put their words to mind.
"Understood, Vice Leader." Seeing how she had no intention of getting retaliation, Carlos stepped back and remained in his position.
"This new dungeon surely is getting more interesting," Cecile smiled mischievously.
