Chapter 84 Conversion
Arthur calmly thought about what he hand experience for half an hour after which he reached a few conclusions.
\'Firstly, I need to see just how it is.\' Arthur thought to himself. \'If its just like Morpheus Online, the same commands should work.\' He reckoned.
"Player stats!" Arthur called out.
~DING~

"Huh… this is… not exactly the same." Arthur was surprised. "There are no numbers for the stats?" he was a bit confused now.
Still he took a closer look at the stats and compared the differences. Other than there being Alphabetical grades instead of number\'s Arthur also saw that a few things had also moved around.
For example, the Synchronization stat which was supposed to be in the Hidden Stat section was now at the basic stats at the top. While the experience bar had basically disappeared.
It allowed Arthur to think of a few things.
\'The absence of an experience bar means I can\'t gain experience here I supposed. And since the Synchronization stat is there instead of it, there must be some relation.\' Arthur wanted to know more and wondered if there was a way.
"Wait… do I also have skills?" Arthur wondered. "Player skills!" he called next.
>Player Skills<
——
1. Dragon\'s Insight
Type: Analytical
Rank: Legendary
Proficiency: E
Effects: 1. Allows the player to appraise items, players and objects up to 100 levels above. (Active)
2. Allows the player to see in the darkness. (Passive)
3. Allows the player to see through illusions. (Passive)
4. Can allow the player to obtain hidden information. (Passive)
——
"Perfect, it\'s still there." Arthur knew it would be a bit easier now.
He also took a look at the skill info and saw that nothing had changed as compared to the game.
\'But then again, the other skills are also missing.\' Arthur noticed that Dragonic Vengeance and Dragonic Assimilation were missing.
He had a few thoughts about that and reckoned it might be due to the fact that they didn\'t really have a function in the real world.
\'Hopefully it allows me to learn a bit more about everything.\' Arthur reckoned and used the skill. "Dragon\'s Insight!"
>Dragon\'s Insight has been activated successfully<
——
Target: Synchronization stat
Info: Narrowing the distance between real and virtual, the Synchronization enhances the immersion of the player. The higher the stat is, the better the player\'s control will be on the character as well as their abilities. At higher levels, the borders between reality and illusion will weaken and at the peak, they will shatter.
Effects: 1. The player\'s game stats will be transferred over to the player\'s real body with a penalty. The higher the Synchronization stat rises, the lower the penalty will get.
2. Depending on the Synchronization Stat, the player will be able to transfer certain in game items to the real world with a penalty. The current penalty is reduction to 10%.
——
"It actually has effects now?" Arthur read it carefully.
The first effect somewhat answered his question about the stat but not entirely. The second effect though was more shocking to him.
"Transferring items to the real world is possible?" Arthur was doubtful since it said only certain items would be possible. "How do I transfer the items though?" he wondered before thinking about the inventory.
"Show player inventory!" Arthur tried another command.
>Player Inventory<
——
Funds: 1 UC
Items: Old Damaged Smart Phone
——
"That\'s about right… Though it can even show the Union credits I have." Arthur took note before trying to find the transfer function.
On the screen that was floating in front of him, there were two options at the bottom, one was to close the screen and the other was to transfer items.
"Transfer Items!" Arthur picked the second option.
~DING~
——
Items available for transfer: Bread, Meat jerky, water, coins
——
Looking at the list, Arthur was a bit disappointed but then he saw the coins.
"Wait… the coins in the game are copper, silver and gold… I can still use them can\'t I?" Arthur only cared about the value of the metal.
After all precious metals always had a demand and selling them was never an issue. And while silver was less valuable than gold, it was still used in a lot of things whether it be jewelry or electronics.
"Transfer coins." Arthur picked the option.
~DING~
——
81 Silver and 56 Copper coins are available for transfer, how many would you like to transfer?
Conversion ratio: 100 Copper coins = 1 UC
——
"Wait what!?" Arthur was taken aback again. "It doesn\'t give the coin itself… it actually converts to Union credits?!" he couldn\'t imagine how something like this would work.
After all Union credits was a highly controlled currency and counterfeiting it was simply impossible due to it being digital for the most part. Even the hard cash version of it was tough to counterfeit due to the security features that were present on it.
Plus transferring UC was not simple either, as the systems behind it were very complex and kept track of where the money came from and where it went. It was something that simply could not be tampered with even by the banks.
"Still… I should at least try it." Arthur muttered to himself. "Transfer 1 Silver Coin." He decided.
~DING~
——
1 Silver Coin will be converted to 1 UC.
——
Arthur was almost on the edge of the seat as he watched the process happen.
~BEEP~
And as if on cue, his phone rang with a notification.
>1 UC has been credited into your account. Total Balance: 2 UC<
"This is…" Arthur gasped at the transfer.
Of course he wasn\'t surprised by the amount but by the mere fact that it was possible.
"There must be more to it… some catch hidden…" Arthur logged into his bank application and quickly checked the transactions.
He needed to see just where the money had actually come from.
