Chapter 99 099: Tango In Red Salvation III
Cole felt a bit overpowered… he had more skills than what most would expect and crazy enough all of his stats were level with each other. It should never have been possible as frankly speaking he had gotten lucky, the stats that were gained from prisms were random, and those gained from your race was also catered to the advantages of that race.
But here he was with a race that gave him a flat bonus and increase to all his stats equally. It sort of made him a jack of all trades for his stats, but he definitely was a master of all of them, especially with the skills he had to his advantage. Unlike when it was just Titan Rising Online as a game and not this event that had turned his world view and changed his life… Cole would never have been able to get as strong as this.
Cole got on top of Morgan as the Mechanoid Direwolf made its way to the top of the hill that overlooked the entrance of Red salvation. There were tons of bandits all arranged and at the ready. Coles black clothes were distinctive, after the rampage he had caused quite a lot of them already knew what to look for, and the moment he showed up, this time with such a rare and powerful looking Mechanoid mount, all of them were at attention.
A lot of the other aspirants had gathered behind him as Cole raised his hand up and waved at them, as if he was saying hello to a couple of old friends. The bandits were confused, obviously they had no idea what his aim was, and Cole\'s tail was flicking left and right in silent agitation as his mind went through a couple of scenarios about what to do next. The response he got was one of the bandits raising the gun up and shooting Cole\'s hand off his arm, leaving a ruined mess of flesh.
It only elicited a grunt of pain from him as he looked at his hand, he raised the ruined hand up and let everyone present watch as his hand regenerated, and even his gloves were regenerated. And it was quite a shocking sight, as no one had seen healing that rapid, and in all honesty his healing wasn\'t that rapid. It should have taken him at least another hour to completely regenerate what he had lost… he had noticed that with his regeneration, flesh wounds, and rupture organs were easier to heal.
But bone injuries took way longer, and he just had his entire hand blown off. But with his new energy manipulation skill, it became possible for him to trickle energy into his passive abilities, speeding up their effects. Which was why his hand had been able to heal this rapidly, but in return he had lost at least half of his over 1000 energy pool.
His negative energy pool was something he has not really experimented with, but he had seen enough of it back at Titus Boris\'s farm to know that it was incredibly potent and dangerous. And he still didn\'t know how to increase, so it was a valuable resource that he would only bring to bear when he\'s found himself in a tight spot.
Never the less the bandits had fired off a warning shot? Or perhaps it was a mocking shot? Now it was time for Cole to fire back with one of his own. He shook his head and tapped the side of Morgan\'s Chrome shell. The Direwolf shot forwards, his mini gun or rather mini guns out of his body as they came out of both sides of his body and began to spit fire into the bandit lines.
They fell in droves, and Cole kept his cool as he loaded a poison bullet into his rifle then jumped off Morgan, using [Fade] in the process as he vanished into thin air, taking aim before he crashed to the ground and firing at the sniper that was now located on the same precinct roof that he had slaughtered some people on not more than an hour ago.
[Eagle Sight] [Spiral Shot]
The head of the sniper blasted open, his blood and brain matter splattering those who were around him, and it in turn released a purple fog into the air that worked quickly. As the three other bandits on the roof began to choke as sores and pustules broke out on their skin. They were dead in under a minute as Cole used [Shadow Dance] to pop right in the middle of the town, out of the shadow of a wagon that was chock full of dynamite.
The bandits were still gathered mostly at the entrance of the town, Cole disengaged the hand brake on the wagon and let it roll forwards as he pulled out a dynamite of his own and used his energy to light it, before tossing it right back into the wagon. He turned around and took a massive ogre fist to the side of the head, throwing him across the ground until his back smashed through a lamp post.
Cole heard an audible crack, but if it was from his back or the pole he wasn\'t so sure. But just to be sure he funneled a little bit of energy into his [Demonic Constitution] skill. He herd another resounding crack as his spine realigned itself. Morgan was still busy rampaging at the entrance of the town, but Cole through their bond had given him the order to retreat as he was grabbed by the neck by a very irate looking ogre.
*Boom!*
The explosion leveled the entrance of the town, along with the over fifty bandits that were there still alive and trying to put down the rampaging Mechanoid wolf. The ogre did not even move, his body had conveniently blocked the way, saving Cole from having the debris and shockwaves of the explosion touch him. It had blown out all of the windows in the town and had spooked a few horses that were still around.
But even at that, with the ogre still glaring at him with all the rage and hatred in the world, Divyat received a system prompt that was not relegated to the background like the others. With the amount of deaths he has brought to bear, he should have leveled up at least once…. Maybe twice, but this prompt was important.
[The Title Genocider is In Effect! You have slain over 50 Individuals in One Conflict! +25 points to all stats!]
Cole grinned, as he looked at the Ogre, who in turn growled louder and squeezed his throat a bit tighter. Cole coughed and then he asked.
"Is this about your master? Or perhaps were you the master and he the pet? Sorry if I knew you guys were so attached to each other I would have quickly sent you along with him." Cole said with a mocking laugh as he placed both hands on the Ogre\'s arm.
"Rooooaaaaarrrrrr! I! Hate! You!" and then the Ogre added pressure, but Cole would not be killed by being strangled… there was no way in hell he would let that happen to himself as he utilized [Sin Eater] and [Sin Reaper] siphoning health and energy at the same time. The Ogre became frantic, he double his efforts, but in five seconds he was the one on his knees with Cole\'s hand now wrapped around his throat.
"Well Bub… I can\'t say that I hate you too, not that I like you but you just aren\'t enough of a threat for me to hate… no hard feeling ehh, it\'s just business."
[Sin Reaper and Sin Eater Utilized! Soul Eater Activated! +180 Energy +28 to Perception, +45 to Attunement, +3 to Dexterity! +10 to Negative Energy, +1 soul]
[You Have Slain Ottojonji the Ogre, +12k exp, +1 Iron prism]
The ogre turned to dust that was blown into the wind as Cole walked freely through the streets of the town, Bandits began coming out of their hiding spots to fight back. But that was the moment the Aspirants fell on the town like a pack of wolves. Cole jumped up as Morgan ran underneath him and he mounted the Direwolf before making a beeline straight for the church at the north east end of the town. The aspirants took care of the other stragglers as Cole and Morgan picked up random personal effects of dead bandits… effectively completing another bounty.
With that said he was left with just two more bounties to complete and he would be done with this floor for good. So in retrospect it means he had to make sure he finished this off with a bang. He got the feeling that he would probably find the Mayor and his final target in the same location at least that was what his intuition was telling him.
And if not well….. He would make that blood lotus guy come to him, and end this second floor dance once and for all.
