Chapter 377 377: The Battle Of London II
"I pledge my soul and body to the federation! For our way is one of Nature and Knowledge for our way is-"
"TRUE!!" the rest of the elven army shouted back.
"oh wonderful, fanatics!" Cole muttered to himself as he flung the arrow to the side and crossed the distance between himself and the soldier in the blink of an eye, his sword going in for the kill. But there was a massive bang and a small Shockwave. By the time the dust died down everyone could see Cole\'s sword almost a breath away from the neck of the fanatic elven soldier.
His blade was being held back by the general\'s bow. He was stronger, but he had barely made it in time to stop Cole from decapitating the annoying elf. There was the sound of strain as both Individuals pushed their weapons against each other. The elf that had shot the arrow and began the stupid chant had his eyes wide open in shock and fear.
"You will not lay a hand on my son! Scum!" the general said with fury in his voice, but all Cole did in response was to shrug and say. " so he is your son? I reckon you must be so disappointed in him. At such a young age but so foolish and incapable of thinking for himself, indoctrinated to the point of foolishness. After all which fool in a universe such as yours would shoot an arrow at a target you cant hope to wound much less kill...it must be really disappointing to have a son so useless isn\'t it?"
The \'son\' had his eyes open even wider, assuming that was even possible. The deluge of emotions, and the hurt look on his face showed Cole that perhaps he had hit a tough spot. The forlorn look on the face of the general was enough to drive everything home. "who are you?" the general asked.
Cole was nobody, at least to where the elves were coming from. He had relied on intuition, plus he was just trying to get into the mind of his enemies. He had no prior information about them, but somehow he had been able to hit on a father and son problem between the general and his child. And the general thought that he was someone familiar with them, in the end it didn\'t matter though, cause Cole would be breaking this family apart in moments.
"You don\'t need to worry about who I am, all I can say is I can solve the problem, you don\'t have to live with such a stain on your legacy, isn\'t that right BOY!"
[Lesser Mind Control]
"Since You\'re such a disappointment to your father, why don\'t you slit your own throat on this fine blade of mine, you should also offer up your soul too...I\'m sure it\'s just as worthless as you are." Cole said as the young elf\'s face glazed over and he turned to his father who was still fighting against Cole\'s superior strength.
Though of course it was not as if Cole was stronger, however he was constantly using [Gravity] to increase the weight of his blade. And at Gold rank…..even Cole himself was not sure how much heavier he could make gravity around him, perhaps heavy enough to crush the earth to pieces if he tried hard enough.
"I\'m sorry father, I wish I could make you proud." the young elf said as still astride his stag, Cole and his father floating on either side of him, their blades still fighting for supremacy with Cole\'s inching every slower to the elf\'s jugular. It was like a scene from a movie, the elf pushing his own neck forward towards the blade of his enemy.
The scene was so chilling that on both sides nobody made a move, both elves and humans absolutely horrified by the ruthlessness of Cole. A display that he was putting on for the benefit of five parties. The world council, the elven federation, his aunt, his brother and Eze! Cole did not joke around, not after what 5 floors of the even had put him through.
Those five floors had changed him fundamentally, and there was still fifteen more floors to go. By the time this event is over, Cole had no idea how much he would have possibly changed and grown. If at the end of it all he would still be who he was today, or better….or worse. But regardless of what the future would hold, the Cole that was standing here today had no qualms having a son kill himself in front of his father, with the father unable to do anything, because any other move would give Cole a chance to take the elf\'s head off himself.
"Stop! Yandriel! STOP! YANDRIEL! YOU BASTARD! STO-"
The general fell silent the moment the elf\'s neck touched the blade, and then he too was transfixed, shocked into place by the sight in front of him as his own son began to slit his own neck on Black Malakai. He didn\'t stop until the blade cut an artery, and then the compulsion faded and clarity and fear showed up in his eyes and then the world exploded.
Cole was thrown backwards, his form blasted into the sky as he went flying into the forest behind him, his body crashing through trees and what seemed to have once been a fuel station, eliciting an explosion within the verdant green forest that had swallowed much of London.
"Oww! My knee!"
