Chapter 312: The Gargoyle Mountain

“Should I leave?”
Lu Li asked himself when he went back to his cabin. His identity was revealed to somebody else. What if some powerful warrior chased after him? What if some powerful warrior wanted to grill him about how he left the Wicked Sorcery Mountain? Everything was possible.
Sometimes, the Iron-armored Ship would stop over a prefectural city or region city where Lu Li could go with Ming Yu and Yu Huashen, then they could take the Teleportation Formations in the city as a change.
Lu Li had some Mystical Grasses with him already even though the Coffin of the Dragon King could not be opened right now. He could trade for some Xuan Crystals, and they could teleport for more than dozens of times. Yu Huashen must have some Xuan Crystals on him as well. Lu Li thought it would be difficult to track them down after several rounds of teleportation. After all, the Teleportation Formation in the cities could go anywhere.
On the other hand… the Pavilion of Delicacy would have done something if they wanted to after they knew what happened at the Dan City and the fact that Lu Li left the Wicked Sorcery Mountain. Lu Li was hesitating. It was comfortable living on the Iron-armored Ship after all.
He thought about it and asked Yu Huashen, “Where are we now?”
Yu Huashen took out a map, pointed to a city and said, “We should be to the east of the Phoenix City. We had just passed the city two days ago. We will be reaching a very famous mountain of the northern Central Plains called the Gargoyle Mountain in more than 10 days.”
Lu Li took a look. The Central Plains was so big that they had been on the road for more than a month now but they were still at the northern side. It would take them almost a year to reach the Heaven’s Roar City in the first place. Lu Li knew that.
He decided to ask Yu Huashen and Ming Yu for advice. He told them of how Jiang Qiling knew his identity and asked if they should leave or stay.
Ming Yu thought about it and said, “Young Master, you make the call. I will go with you.”
Yu Huashen said nothing for a while. He once was an overlord. He preferred to look at the big picture and he had his unique vision and means.
After a while, he answered, “Young Master, I don’t think we should go on our own.”
Lu Li looked at him, waiting for him to explain. Yu Huashen continued, “First of all, the Pavilion of Delicacy is one of the twelve most powerful forces of the Central Plains. The master of the Pavilion of Delicacy once entered the Wicked Sorcery Mountain so I don’t think the Pavilion of Delicacy have any particular interest about your treasures. As far as I can tell, that Jiang Qiling must have feelings for you. She wants to woo you so I don’t think she will do you any harm for now.
“Second, if your identity has been revealed, you will be at greater risk off the ship. The cities are not entirely safe. For example, if some family in a prefectural city knows about you, when you enter that city, you will be practically feeding yourself to death.
“More importantly, Young Master, do you think it will be hard for enemies to trace us after several rounds of teleportation? As a matter of fact, each Teleportation Formation has recording functions. If some big families want to find us, they can manage that easily…”
Yu Huashen was more informed than Lu Li was. He would not hurt Lu Li which after all would kill himself. Lu Li nodded after Yu Huashen finished and said, “Then let’s stay here. We will talk more when we leave the northern Central Plains.”
His information was not contained within the northern Central Plains. Not every one of the entire Central Plains had heard about him. They would be in the territory of the Hall of Heaven’s Roars when they left the northern Central Plains. Over there, his information was not well-known yet or people there simply didn’t care.
Lu Li remembered how Jiang Qiling apologized to him so he was more relieved. He walked towards the cultivation room after he rested for a while.
Jiang Qiling had fallen asleep so the steward didn’t receive any order to let Lu Li cultivate for free. Lu Li passed Jiang Qiling’s words along but the steward was having doubts. Lu LI walked into the room directly and said in a cold voice, “If I lied to you, you can send Jiang Qiling to me later.”
The steward considered it. He believed that there was no need for Lu Li to lie. If Lu Li did lie, he would be busted as soon as Jiang Qiling came.
Lu Li continued his closed-door cultivation, thinking of the demon’s memory, testing it over and over again, trying to release that skill.
Jiang Qiling stopped bothering Lu Li as she said. She never came down from the second floor.
The steward went to report to Jiang Qiling about Lu Li. Jiang Qiling said nothing. She just nodded to show her acknowledgement.
Lu Li’s words didn’t set Jiang Qiling free. Instead, she became more depressed. She stayed in her cabin all day long, absent-minded, crying, laughing and drinking…
Yu Huashen and Ming Yu never left their cabin. They kept cultivating. Ming Yu had just reached the Noble Lord Realm so he needed time to cultivate and stabilize his realm and improve his abilities.
Even though Yu Huashen had Soul Worms in him, it didn’t had much impact on his cultivation. He was bored on the Iron-armored Ship so he had to cultivate.
There were more than a thousand people on the Iron-armored Ship. Basically, everyone would cultivate on the ship. They wouldn’t wonder around. It was such a long trip that if they didn’t cultivate, they would be so bored.
Usually, there was a marking on the Iron-armored Ship of the Pavilion of Delicacy. At the northern Central Plains, the Pavilion of Delicacy was the supreme lord. Who dared to offend anyone from the Pavilion of Delicacy? Therefore, it had been a peaceful journey without any dangers.
Nine days passed. A commander walked out from a cabin, flew to the second floor and then to the third.
The third floor was not big. There was only one cabin up here with one person in it, the grandpa of Jiang Qiling, the commander-in-chief of the ship, and the one person with the most authority and the strongest power.
The commander walked into the cabin, got down on one knee and said to an old man with purple hair, “Commander-in-Chief, we will be arriving at the Gargoyle Mountain soon. I heard that it is not peaceful over there. How about… we take a detour?”
The purple-haired old man frowned and asked in a cold voice, “What happened at the Gargoyle Mountain? Do you have more detailed information? It will take two or three more months if we take a detour.”
The commander shook his head and said, “I don’t know about the details but our scouts are over there. They haven’t sent anything back now. They just said that it’s not peaceful.”
“Then let us go there and wait for a couple of days.”
The purple-haired old man waved his hand and said, “If it is dangerous, then we will take another way. If just some small incidents, we can fly right over, no big deal.”
The Iron-armored Ship moved on. A day had passed when the ship arrived at a huge mountain.
“Wow~”
The Iron-armored Ship suddenly stopped, so many people walked out to have a look. They glanced to the east and saw mountains after mountains. When they noticed the purple steam coming out from the mountains, they engaged in heated discussion.
Yu Huashen and Ming Yu came out as well. Ming Yu took one look and asked in surprise, “What is that?”
“That over there should be a very famous mountain at the northern Central Plains.”
Yu Huashen replied, “The Gargoyle Mountain is a well-known place of treasures at the northern Central Plains. See that purple steam and the glow in the sky? There must be some treasures being erupted from under the ground.”
“Oh!”
Ming Yu was not particularly interested in the treasures. This was the northern Central Plains, the territory of the Pavilion of Delicacy. Even if there were some treasures, they would belong to the Pavilion of Delicacy. He had nothing to do with the treasures. He walked back to the cabin to resume his cultivation. Yu Huashen walked away as well after a while.
On the third floor of the ship, there was that commander again. He had brought with him the latest news from the Pavilion of Delicacy. There were some insignificant events at the Gargoyle Mountain and it had been going on like this for seven or eight days. There was nothing too risky, and the scouts of the Pavilion of Delicacy said it should be fine.
The purple-haired old man waved his hands and said, “Then let us not wait any longer. We will go right through it. Speed up.”
“Whoosh~”
The Iron-armored Ship soon moved, flying towards the mountains with the purple steam and glow.
