Chapter 267:172 Levels cleared
In the Holy Light Kingdom, on the verge of Abandoned Land, inside the City of Joys, in the Holy Light Church, the City of Joys’ Bishop Cassian quietly awaited Dean McKenzie’s arrival!
This was the bishop who had proposed a deal to Dean McKenzie.
Dean’s response to him was that he would meet him tonight, which made Cassian particularly anxious.
A grand scheme can’t be executed if it can’t be contained; it all depends on tonight!
The time quickly reached the agreed time, but there was still no sign of Dean.
Cassian, restless, couldn’t help but stand up and walk around!
But as soon as he got up, a dagger was pointed at his back, causing Cassian to shudder and raise his hands.
“Don’t be rash! I genuinely want to help you abandon the darkness, my contribution to your decision to leave the dark side is significant!
“You….”
“Enough, shut up!”
“Snap!”
Before Cassian could finish speaking, he heard a cold snort from his back, followed by the sound of bones shattering.
Cassian looked around, surprised.
To find that the skeleton, who had just threatened him with a dagger, was now dismantled.
And standing next to the dismantled skeleton was a middle-aged man in golden armor, wielding a one-handed sword.
This middle-aged man was the head of the Cassian family, named as Cassio, and one of the few seven-turn individuals in the Church of Holy Light. He had come, especially for Dean McKenzie.
At this moment, Cassio’s gaze was entirely fixed on the skeleton assassin he had dismantled.
“A perfect quality skeleton assassin, this little mouse seems to have a bit of power!
And cautious enough to send his skeletons, hiding himself in the dark!
His power seems weak, and the exposure short!
Hiding like this in front of a seventh level Holy knight? Does it work?”
Cassio said while using a [Detect Evil] on the skeleton
The next second, a dark line appeared in Cassio s sight!
“There!”
With that, Cassio took off into the air. As a seventh level individual, even if he was a warrior, he had basic flight skills. He soared into the air and transformed into a beam of holy light, rushing towards the abandoned land outside the City of Joys!
He was pretty fast.
It didn’t take long for him to cover several Km’s, and he found Dean McKenzie, who was hiding dozens of kilometers away from the City of Joys.
“Found you!”
Cassio smirkly smiled, preparing to land. However, it seemed Dean had also noticed him and quickly began to fly in panic.
“Flight Skill? A Necromancer can control flight skills? That’s quite impressive. But judging from his speed, it’s much slower than the original version. This kind of flight skill won’t escape from me!”
If it were an original flight skill, even if Cassio was a seventh level warrior, it would be tough for him to catch up.
Because his version of flying is nothing more than a burst of Spirit Power, and can only fool those who can’t fly, against a real flyer he’d very likely be struggling.
Luckily, Dean’s speed was not rapid, and Cassio thought he should be able to catch up.
With this delusion, he accelerated to keep up closely with Dean, following him in circles.
Throughout the process, Dean appeared to be trying his best, yet was about to be caught up.
This made Cassio particularly excited.
But just as he thought he was about to catch Dean, a shocking scene unfolded. Dean, who was slowly dragging ahead of him, suddenly “swooshed” and disappeared before his eyes.
The speed was so fast that Cassio didn’t even see the trace of Dean’s flight path.
Cassio’s facial expression darkened.
By now, he had figured out that Dean was just toying with him.
Here he was, a seventh level Holy warrior, being played by a fourth-turn Wraith Controller. The thought was so infuriating he nearly spat out blood on the spot!
But this was not what made him most resentful.
What made it worse was when he returned to the City of Joys filled with rage, only to discover that Holy Light Church had been completely disassembled. Obviously, Dean must have intended to distract him to effectively divide and conquer.
Looking at the dismantled Church of the City of Joys, Cassio clenched his fists.
“Good, very good!”
This seventh level Holy Warrior was very angry, and the consequences were severe!
As for Dean McKenzie, his current mood was rather good.
In fact, when Cassian shared information, Wild Intuition had told Dean that this trip could be dangerous though not excessively so.
That’s why Dean had made this plan.
But what Dean was happy about now was not because his plan had been successful.
More importantly, through this encounter, he had gained a clear understanding of his speed.
With the full use of his Flight Skill, even a Seventh-turn Holy Warrior would be unable to catch up with him.
“At least, when confronted with a seventh-turn level individual, I have a mobility advantage.
No, not when I face a seventh level individual, but when I face this individual, a Seventh-turn Holy Warrior.
If other seventh level entities are excellent at speed and flight like me, my speed may not give me any advantage. But I do have an advantage against this Holy Warrior.
It seems that I need to focus on improving my Flight Skill in the future. It’s best to upgrade it further at level 3 and upgrade the [High-speed Flight] to [Extraordinary] Quality!
Only then can I ensure my mobility advantage!”
