Chapter 408: Dean McKenzie wishing to restart everything even in his dreams - 2
“You mean…?”
“Yes, exactly. These benefit tasks all prove one thing: the will of our world is sensing a crisis.
Thus, only it, not Him, can offer such a considerable reward.”
“These rewards aren’t for dealing with the Heavenly Abyss event, but for the impending crisis after the Heavenly Abyss.”
Gavin Grainger’s words made his followers pause and stare at each other in disbelief.
“Perhaps this is just your speculation…”
“You should take a look at this first!”
With a sigh, Gavin Grainger directly opened his attribute panel, sharing a task adorned with purple gold Light.
As the details of this task were revealed, everyone around Gavin was stunned.
Looking at the task, everyone’s faces instantly turned grim.
For a moment, a cloud of tension hung over the group.
Without a word, they all shared a knowing look.
“It seems we must remove the cancer that is the Church as soon as possible.”
“We do need to eradicate this cancer. But does our current strength suffice to eradicate it?
We are not up against a single church, but all the churches within the Alliance!”
“There are hundreds of large and small churches in the Alliance. Some of them could have even been established longer than the Alliance itself. We may not necessarily secure victory, even if we can mobilize the full force of the Alliance.
Besides, you all know the state of the Alliance right now.
Who knows how many traitors lurk within?
It would be quite challenging to face all the churches in the Alliance at the same time!”
Gavin Grainger, well aware of his followers’ worries, asserts: “Don’t be too pessimistic. We don’t have to deal with all the churches.
Not every church within the Alliance is aligned.
It’s hard for hundreds of churches to unify. As long as we can appease and overthrow a portion of them, we can solve the church problem.”
“Moreover, we’re not standing alone in this matter.”
Many within the Alliance still have its best interests at heart. They will help us if they see we have a plan to change the situation within the Alliance.”
And I have enough confidence to persuade someone to help us.”
If that person can lend a hand, our odds of resolving the church issue will rise to 80%.”
“No, I should say, that person alone would give us an 80% chance of success!”
Hearing Gavin Grainger speak so highly of someone, everyone present paused, thought for a while, but couldn’t figure out who he was referring to.
Does such a person exist within the Alliance?
…..
Strength: 413 million, Agility: 415 million, Physique: 773 million, Spirit: 1.273 billion
In the Land of Bone, Dean McKenzie looked at his attribute panel, his feelings slightly complicated.
After raising his talent to the 8th level, Dean enhanced his and his canine companions’ attributes as well.
Together, he gained a total of 3.627 billion attribute points.
For this improvement of attributes, Dean had depleted all his wealth.
He had spent every single Gold Coin and Purple Gold Coin he had, and now his warehouse was utterly empty.
Overnight, Dean was left with only 50 of God’s Gold Coins.
“I haven’t lost my money; it just transformed into a form that will always accompany me.”
“Money is something you can always earn more of. But you can’t always level up your strength!”
“Some people wish they could pay to gain strength, but they simply don’t have the opportunity.”
“Look at my attributes; they’re simply invincible!”
As Dean spoke, he couldn’t resist clenching his fist.
It felt unreal to be so powerful.
Looking at his pale fist and skinny forearm, Dean found it hard to believe that his small body harbored attributes amounting to billions.
“With these attributes, I could knock down numerous seventh or eighth-turn entities with just a punch, even without using any skills, right?”
If I were to use a skill, I haven’t encountered a Ninth-turn one yet, but Eighth-turn ones definitely couldn’t last a round against me. Hmm, they couldn’t last a round even before I enhanced my attribute points, let alone now.
Plus, I still haven’t completed my job-switching yet. What level of power could I achieve once I reach Seven-turn?”
Dean McKenzie couldn’t even begin to imagine!
At the same time, Dean McKenzie became even more curious and eager about his upper talent limit.
“I’m already this strong now at Level 8, what would it be like if I were Level 9?
Imagine if I could start adding attribute points from Level 1, what would that scenario look like?”
Dean McKenzie did a quick calculation, considering if he could add points to his attributes from Level 1 like he does now, how many attribute points he’d have at the moment.
“From Level 1 to 20, Epic Quality can add 57.6 million to the four dimensions, and after job-switching in Hell Mode it doubles that, making it 115.2 million.
By Level 40, the four-dimensional attributes would reach 172.8 million, and after re-jobbing it will double to 345.6 million. By Level 60, these four-dimensional attributes rise to 403.2 million and would then double to 806.4 million.
Moreover, from the fourth, fifth, and sixth turns onwards, the increase is no longer double.
It starts at a minimum of 5 times.
If it’s like me, with a 10 times or 20 times increase, that will be even more exaggerated.
At Sixth-turn, starting to add points from Level 1, I would now have a single attribute of 870.33 billion — meaning 87.03 trillion!”
Having worked out this result, Dean McKenzie was silent for a long time.
“Is there a knife available? Give me a knife, so I can die once! I must want to start over!
I fucking need to start over!”
If Dean McKenzie really got a chance to start over, he wouldn’t care about permanent attribute increases or SSS-level features.
Even SSS-level traits are useless in the face of such massive attributes.
All these traits in fact have a hidden rule, the attribute gap between them can’t be too great.
Once the attribute gap is too large, even SSS-level traits can’t hold up.
Even the God, I presume, wouldn’t be able to resist one Bone Fang attack with my 87.03 trillion in Spirit!
What if it’s my Seven-turn? Or my Eight-turn?
My Ninth-turn?
I had a 10 times and 20 times attribute increase in my job-switching until the Sixth-turn, at Seventh-turn even Carl had a 20 times increase.
As for me, at the very least, it would start at 50 times and can potentially reach 100 times.
What’s a hundred times 87.03 trillion?”
Original, Dean McKenzie thought his attributes were quite badass. But once he did the math, he felt his attributes were really poor.
The more he calculated, the more he wanted to restart.
Damn it, having such an exploit right in front of one’s eyes that could take oneself to such terrifying heights but couldn’t make use of it, would make anyone feel tormented.
“Isn’t there any item to start over?
Give me one, please. I am one restart away from being invincible.”
However, it seems unlikely to start over now. Although there is Second Life hanging on his attribute panel, Dean McKenzie doesn’t know what it means or its effect. He doesn’t dare to take a gamble:
Who knows if he could resurrect, and if the level would drop to Level 1 after the resurrection? By then, whether his talent would still be there or not.
Therefore, it seems unlikely to restart, but raising his talent level again seems hopeful.
“Or should I push a bit longer and get to talent Level 9 before job-switching?”
Dean McKenzie couldn’t help having this impulse.
After all, his slight disadvantage of not being able to die once and start all over could be made up by boosting the talent levels as much as possible, couldn’t it?
“I’m basically invincible in the Alliance now anyway, there’s no significant existential crisis, going slow only has its advantages and no negatives!
After all, I have to face the Mark of the Hunting God in the Seven-turn Trials.”
Although Dean McKenzie now feels he has the strength to contend with the Mark of the Hunting God, being able to deal with it more comfortably would definitely be better!
“That’s settled then!
I remember Donald Morgan mentioned that the talent stones had been collected by people from the Alliance, right?
Considering my current level of strength, I should be able to negotiate with the Alliance to get a talent stone, right?”
While Dean McKenzie was pondering on how to negotiate with the Alliance for a talent stone, he had no idea that someone had already taken the initiative to find him.
…
